CPR and Defibrillator Training Event

Our St John Scotland Ayrshire and Arran volunteer CPR champions visited Loudoun Academy, Galston on Friday 16 February where they delivered a very successful bystander CPR and defibrillator awareness session to 36 senior pupils.

Mrs Laura Brown, Acting Depute Headteacher, is pictured at the school's public access defibrillator with PAD Lead Sandy, and volunteers Charmaine, David and Julie. Defibrillator cabinets for all East Ayrshire secondary schools were generously donated by the Henderson family in memory of their daughter Laura who died following a sudden cardiac arrest. These cabinets will allow 24/7 public access.

This concludes St John Scotland's CPR and defibrillators awareness sessions for all secondary schools in East Ayrshire.
