Vale HM the Queen: Lord Prior addresses St John People

Following the sad news of the death of Her Majesty The Queen today, our Lord Prior Prof Mark Compton has written a letter to all St John people.

“Her Majesty always took a keen interest in our work of helping the sick and he poor, and she was very much invested in St John and our worldwide work. Her guidance and support shaped St John into a modern global healthcare organisation, which is deeply rooted in our history as an order of the Crown. Her passing is a great loss, not only for the Commonwealth, but especially for our St John family.”

On behalf of St John, our Lord Prior extends our condolences to all members of the Royal Family. He has also written a personal letter to His Majesty the King.
