Volunteer Patient Transport driver - Elgin
Do you enjoy driving? Could you give up a few hours a week to help people get to hospital for dialysis treatment?
St John Scotland is looking for Volunteer Patient Transport Drivers based in Elgin to join our Aberdeen & North East team.
The service supports patients from across the region living with chronic kidney disease to access dialysis treatment at Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin.
Dialysis treatment must be given three times a week, and for patients who would otherwise rely on taxi or ambulance transport, the St John Scotland service means they have a free, reliable and friendly service they can depend on.
Does this sound like you?
If you:
- Live in the area
- Are between 21* – 80 years old (* Held license for min 2 years)
- Hold a full driving license and are a competent driver
- Have access to your own car and are happy to use it for Patient Transport
- Are friendly, and have a sense of responsibility and commitment
